Quality Control Superintendent

Award-winning homebuilder McCaffrey Homes is seeking a detail-oriented and driven individual to fill the role of Quality Control Superintendent.

As a key part of our construction team, the Quality Control Superintendent plays a vital role in ensuring that every McCaffrey home is delivered to the highest standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. This position focuses on inspecting homes during construction, conducting thorough quality control inspections prior to the homeowner walkthrough, and verifying completion of all punch list items before closing.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed inspections of homes under construction to ensure adherence to McCaffrey Homes' quality standards and building codes.

• Conduct final Quality Control Inspections prior to homeowner walkthroughs, ensuring homes are 100% ready for presentation.

• Create and manage punch lists based on QC findings and walkthroughs; follow up to confirm timely and complete resolution.

• Collaborate closely with Construction Superintendents, subcontractors, and trade partners to correct deficiencies quickly and efficiently.

• Support the closing process by verifying all items are completed before the home closes escrow.

• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance throughout the construction process.

• Maintain positive communication with homeowners to foster confidence and satisfaction with the final product.

• Coordinate with internal departments including Customer Service, Sales, Design, and Purchasing to ensure smooth project execution.

• Maintain relationships with local building inspectors and ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements.

• Help uphold McCaffrey Homes’ commitment to superior craftsmanship and exceptional customer experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in residential construction with a focus on quality control or construction inspections.

• Strong understanding of construction practices, local building codes, and inspection processes.

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple inspections and follow-ups.

• Clear and effective communication skills—written and verbal.

• Ability to work well with trades, internal teams, and homeowners to resolve issues collaboratively.

• Experience with punch list management software or project tracking tools is a plus.

• Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
