Construction Superintendent

Award-winning homebuilder McCaffrey Homes is seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Construction Superintendent.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the construction process for assigned homes, ensuring they are built to McCaffrey Homes' high standards of quality and cleanliness.
• Direct and coordinate multiple trades to meet construction schedules and project deadlines.
• Engage with homebuyers throughout and after construction, ensuring a positive experience.
• Work collaboratively with various internal departments, including Customer Service, Accounting, Sales, Design, Purchasing, and Land Development.
• Maintain professional relationships with local jurisdictions and inspectors to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications to ensure proper execution of the project.
• Monitor and enforce SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) and safety reporting requirements.
• Strive for homeowner satisfaction survey scores of 90% or better.
• Utilize project scheduling software to track progress, address delays promptly, and ensure on-time home completion.
• Solve on-site issues efficiently, including resolving conflicts between subcontractors and finding solutions to unexpected construction challenges.

Desired Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or Superintendent Assistant in residential construction.
• Degree in Construction Management or relevant education preferred (work experience may substitute).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address site challenges effectively.
