Mechanical Quality Commissioning Lead

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Quality Commissioning Lead to join our team at OnQ Global in Cartersville, GA. As a Mechanical Quality Commissioning Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and commissioning processes for mechanical systems in construction projects. This role requires a strong background in blueprints, construction management, architectural design, and installation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead quality assurance and commissioning activities for mechanical systems
• Review and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Coordinate with construction teams to ensure proper installation of HVAC systems
• Conduct inspections and general repairs as needed
• Collaborate with electrical and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues

Mechanical QCx Specific Description / Duties:

• Lead the Level 3 and Level 4 commissioning effort and help coordinate start-up and functional performance testing between the subcontractors, equipment vendors, and Cx Team.
• Systems Included in the Mechanical Scope of Work:
  • Chilled Water Systems including Water and/or Air Cooled chillers, Cooling Towers
  • Process Water Systems
  • Air Compressor Systems, dryers, receiver tanks
  • Vacuum Systems
  • MAU, RTU, MCU, FCU, FFU, ERV, EUH, split system units, and CRAC equipment
  • HVAC ductwork distribution systems
  • Temperature, Pressure, and Flow Detectors
  • Dust Collection Systems
  • Leak Detection Systems
  • Smoke Exhaust  & General Exhaust Systems
  • Humidifiers
  • Heat Exchangers
  • Tanks & Pumps
  • Exhaust Systems
  • VFD's
  • Fire Protection Systems and dependencies to Fire Alarm System
  • Generator Fuel Distribution Piping and System
  • SCADA, BAS, Mechanical Controls

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant work experience on large scale construction projects with a focus on a specific discipline (Electrical or Mechanical).
• 5+ years of industrial construction experience  as a QCx lead with hands-on field installation and/or QCx inspection experience.
• Experience in a quality control role with extensive knowledge of structural, electrical, mechanical and controls equipment.
• Ability to read and understand critical project documentation such as test plans, design documents, specifications, Cx test scripts, etc.

Salary: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
