Job Description: Landscaping Superintendent for Homeowners Association (HOA)

Delray Villas Plat 4/5 HOA, a vibrant and welcoming 55+ community in Delray Beach, FL, is seeking a dedicated Landscaping Superintendent to help create and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces for our residents. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll work closely with the Operations Manager and interact directly with homeowners, ensuring their landscaping needs are met with care and professionalism. Your leadership will help nurture a positive, thriving community for all who call Delray Villas home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Support a Team: Supervise and mentor a team of 4-6 landscapers, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Hire and Develop Talent: Help grow the team by hiring new staff and providing ongoing training and support.
• Payroll Management: Keep track of employee hours and PTO, ensuring payroll is processed accurately (willing to train for payroll processing if needed).
• Maintain Community Landscaping: Oversee the upkeep of all landscaping tasks including mowing, mulching, pruning, weeding, and tree/shrub care, ensuring the beauty and safety of our community.
• Care for Irrigation Systems: Maintain and repair irrigation systems to keep everything running smoothly and functioning properly.
• Engage with Homeowners: Respond thoughtfully and professionally to homeowner concerns, ensuring that their needs are addressed with respect and empathy.
• Landscape Projects: Design and implement landscaping projects that enhance the beauty and functionality of our community spaces.
• Order and Manage Equipment: Ability to order new equipment as needed and ensure that the current equipment is maintained, and safety guidelines and SDS sheets are followed.

Qualifications:

• A deep understanding of irrigation systems and landscaping techniques.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster teamwork and guide staff.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations in a calm, compassionate way.
• Previous experience in managing a landscaping team, especially in a community-focused environment, is a plus.

Salary Range:

• $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
