Project Engineer Jobs in Saskatchewan

A Project Engineer in the construction industry is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and managing the technical aspects of a construction project. This includes reviewing designs and drawings, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes, preparing project schedules, and managing project resources. They work closely with Project Managers, Architects, and other Engineers to ensure successful project execution from conception to completion. They are also responsible for troubleshooting technical issues that arise during the construction process.

Important skills for a Project Engineer include strong technical knowledge in engineering and construction, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. They should be proficient in using project management and CAD software. Relevant certifications could include a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Certified Construction Manager (CCM). Prior roles a person may have before becoming a Project Engineer include Field Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or Design Engineer.
