Plasterer and Stucco Mason Jobs in Massachusetts
A Plasterer and Stucco Mason in the construction industry is responsible for creating and applying coats of plaster or stucco to interior and exterior walls, ceilings, and partitions of buildings and structures to produce a finished surface. They apply weatherproof, decorative coverings for concrete or masonry surfaces, using mortar and other mixtures. They also create artistic and decorative effects by shaping and texturing their coatings. Their responsibilities also include reading and interpreting blueprints, creating molds to guide their work, and installing guide wires on exterior surfaces to indicate the thickness of plaster or stucco to be applied. They must have a good understanding of mix proportions for different types of weather conditions and surface types.
