Today might be Halloween, but Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and that means there are countless retail stores hiring for the holiday season. However, not all of the stores hiring seasonal employees will find the right candidates to add to their teams. In fact, according to CNBC, approximately 23% of retailers were unable to hire enough temporary and seasonal workers in 2017 and more than 65% have as many holiday seasonal jobs (or more) to fill this year.
With unemployment at its lowest rate in the last decade, retailers could have an even harder time finding workers. That might be a manager’s nightmare, but it’s a job seeker’s dream.
