Job Description As an ACM Panel Designer, you will be responsible for designing ACM panels to meet customer requirements while adhering to company, industry standards, and governmental regulations. Your role will involve reviewing and verifying the accuracy of Panel Shop drawings, preparing FAB drawings using CAD software, and utilizing existing extrusion systems for rain screen and we-seal panel systems from concept through testing and production. You will work independently and coordinate with shop personnel to program and run panel routing machines, fabricate extruded aluminum framing systems, assemble panels, and ensure quality control throughout the process. Responsibilities
- Design ACM panels to meet customer requirements and comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Review and verify the accuracy of all Panel Shop drawings.
- Prepare all FAB drawings for ACM panels using CAD software.
- Utilize existing extrusion systems for rain screen and we-seal panel systems from concept through testing and into production.
- Work independently and coordinate with shop personnel to program and run the panel routing machine, fabricate extruded aluminum framing systems, assemble panels, and ensure quality control throughout the process.
- Assist in all engineering processes as required by the job.
- Assist in checking all fabrication releases prior to releasing to the shop.
- Track panel inventory.
- Prepare cut lists and bill of materials for project requirements.
- Create fabrication drawings of assemblies and components.
- Support production control, shop, and field personnel during manufacturing and installation of designed assemblies and components.
- Coordinate all field dimensions.
- Create all programming data files for EnRoute.
- Review and check fabrication release packages as required.
- 3-5 years of structural or architectural drafting experience.
- Experience using AutoCAD Inventor.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment and designing equipment/products with multiple parts/fixtures.
- Experience creating fabrication/assembly drawings, BOMs, and material lists.
- Associates Degree.
- Experience with Glazier Studios and/or Logikal.
- Curtain wall facade design experience.
