Job Description
Summary
EMH&T operates the largest land survey group in the state of Ohio and we have an opportunity for a Survey Technician to join our team.
As the Survey Technician, you'll gain hands-on experience in surveying and foundational mapping skills while working under the guidance of an experience surveyor; you'll be responsible for processing field survey data and producing accurate, high-quality survey drawings and maps; you will utilize computer aided drafting (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) software to create technical drawings for topographical and boundary surveys; and you'll work closely with field crews, project managers, and engineers to ensure deliverables meet project and client expectations.
Qualifications
Associates degree, specialized technical training or equivalent experience in one or more CAD platforms or other drafting software; knowledge of Survey Geomatics techniques, principles, tools and various methods for graphically describing the location and distribution of land, physical relationships, and characteristics; experience as a surveying technician is preferred.

- A self-starter that demonstrates dependability and consistent work efforts.
- Ability to work independently but also enjoys working in a team environment.
- Strong computation, geometry and trigonometry skills.
- Planning and organization capabilities with high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to express ideas clearly.
- Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback.
- Experience and proficiency with general surveying practices, boundary control and legal principles.
