Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and unannounced safety inspections of commercial roofing job sites.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and company safety policies.
- Assist Director of Safety in safety programs, policies, and procedures specific to commercial roofing.
- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure workers adhere to safety protocols.
- Assist Safety Manager investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
- Maintain detailed reports and documentation of inspections, violations, and corrective measures.
- Work closely with Safety Manager, superintendents, foremen, and site supervisors to address safety concerns.
- Ensure proper fall protection systems, scaffolding, and other safety equipment are in place and function correctly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing safety or a related field.
- OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification
- Knowledge of fall protection, ladder safety, scaffold safety, and hazard communication.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential risks.
- Proficiency in safety reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with risk assessment and accident prevention strategies.
- Familiarity with construction industry safety auditing processes
Special Position Requirements
- Sit, stand, walk, climb and balance.
- Stoop, crouch and step over obstacles.
- Lift and/or move 50 lbs.
- Work in outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, cold/hot temperatures and humidity.
- Available to work extended hours.

Full Time Exempt Position Starting wage $68,000 based on experience and certifications.
