Position Overview
LAWA is recruiting a candidate to ll the Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) Stakeholder Management Coordinator position. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless communication, coordination, and alignment among all stakeholders involved in operational readiness activities. This position focuses on building and managing relationships, facilitating engagement, and ensuring stakeholder needs are met to support the successful transition and activation of new facilities.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated ORAT Stakeholder Management Coordinator located in Los Angeles, CA.
* This position is for a limited duration of 12 months.
Required Education:
Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, or related technical elds.
One or more of the following Registration/Certification:
- American Productivity & Quality Center (APQC)
- Business Process Management Initiative (BPMI)
- Interaction Design Association (IxDA)
- Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES)
- Organizational Development Certified Professional (ODCP)
- Organizational Development Certified Consultant (ODCC)
- Certified Management Consultant (CMC)
- Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP)
- Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
Required Qualifications:
In order to become a candidate, you must possess these skills and abilities
- Five (5) years or more experience, preferably on airport projects.
- Proven experience managing stakeholders in large-scale operational readiness programs at airports or transit systems.
- Strong understanding of airport, airline, or transit system operations, with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in planning, facilitation, training, and conict resolution.
- Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inuence and manage diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver eective presentations and reports.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving stakeholder concerns. High energy, adaptability, and a results-driven mindset.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Hardware/Software Knowledge
- Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Prolog, Outlook, Oce 365, Bluebeam, Teams
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, including airport leadership, tenants, contractors, vendors, and the community, ensuring alignment with the ORAT programs goals.
- Establish and lead stakeholder working groups to identify risks, issues, and opportunities, ensuring concerns are addressed and solutions implemented.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive ORAT Stakeholder Engagement Plan, clearly outlining communication protocols, roles, and responsibilities.
- Facilitate regular stakeholder briengs, workshops, and coordination meetings to keep all parties informed and engaged.
- Build strong relationships with senior representatives from key stakeholders, fostering collaboration and trust.
- Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders, ensuring clarity on progress, risks, and next steps.
- Proactively manage expectations, address conicts, and resolve issues in a manner that maintains stakeholder condence and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct gap analyses of existing procedures, identifying areas for improvement.
- Facilitate the development of new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contingency plans to ensure operational readiness.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to create Familiarization, Induction, and Training Plans tailored to their specic needs.
- Lead the execution of stakeholder-focused training programs, ensuring all parties are prepared for new operational environments.
- Develop and implement a Stakeholder Risk Register and Issues Log, ensuring stakeholder- related risks are identied, tracked, and mitigated.
- Collaborate with the Project Management and ORAT teams to address stakeholder concerns promptly and eectively.
- Ensure ORAT activities are aligned with the overall project schedule, adjusting stakeholder engagement eorts as needed to reect changes.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on trial planning, execution, and feedback, ensuring their needs and concerns are integrated into testing activities.
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure stakeholder requirements are met during the transition process.
- Ensure all stakeholder needs and expectations are addressed to achieve the highest levels of satisfaction during the activation of new facilities.
- Advocate for stakeholders by representing their interests in planning and execution activities.
- Develop and deliver transition plans that minimize disruption to stakeholders and ensure operational continuity.
Salary:
- $95,000 - $99,000 Annually
Bonus Pay:
A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at managements discretion.
