Lyman Sprogis and James A. Belland founded Rebarfab, Inc. on March 14, 1984. Mr. Sprogis was the President and Mr. Belland the Executive Vice-President and each individual owned one-half of the stock of the Company. On December 31, 1993, Mr. Sprogis retired and Mr. Belland became the President & CEO and sole owner of the Company. Since its inception, Rebarfab, Inc. has been located at 720 First St. S.W. - New Brighton, MN. New Brighton is a northern suburb of Minneapolis & St. Paul, MN. Rebarfab, Inc. fabricates (cuts and bends) steel reinforcing bars (rebar) for the concrete construction industry. Our primary sales market is the Minneapolis and St. Paul area, but we also ship throughout Minnesota and on occasion to bordering states. Fabricated steel reinforcing bars comprise approximately eighty percent of total sales, with welded wire reinforcing mesh, epoxy coated reinforcing steel and other reinforcing steel related items making up the balance. Rebarfab, Inc. employs a staff of just under 30 employees. We own and operate from an eight thousand square foot office building and a seventy thousand square foot warehouse/production facility. In order to both promote its products and maintain high standards in its industry, Rebarfab, Inc. is an active member of the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute, one of the oldest trade associations in America.
