What You’ll Contribute to OHM Advisors
As a trusted member of OHM Advisors’ Field Services Group, you will join a growing, mission-driven team of innovative thinkers who collaborate daily, using our combined gifts and talents to continually advance the communities we serve.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform Topographic, Right of Way & Boundary Retracements, and Construction Layout surveys.
- Perform physical tasks such as carrying and maneuvering up to 50 lbs., clearing line, digging holes, and setting monuments, hubs, or laths.
- Ensuring all required equipment is loaded, unloaded, cleaned and charged.
- Record field notes legibly and accurately.
- Process field data into CAD to ensure data integrity.
- Research property ownership information, including deeds, easements, and record surveys.
- Safely operate a company vehicle.
- Calculate look points from record deeds.
- Calculate stakeout points for construction layout.
- Prepares easement and right-of-way drawings and descriptions.
- Effectively communicate information to the public, colleagues, clients, and the leadership team.
- Ensure survey crew performance and provide leadership to field crews, including train, supervising, coaching, and mentoring new crew members and less-experienced staff.
- Participate in related professional societies, conferences, and local organizations in support of business development and networking.
Requirements:
Education, Experience & Licensure:
- Internship/co-op experience in diverse surveying environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation v8, OpenRoads Designer, Carlson and familiarity with ODOT survey standards preferred.
- Surveyor in Training with the ability to obtain a Surveyor License is Required.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present work to the team in a clear and concise manner.
- Good time management skills.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
