Commercial Flooring Installer

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have current experience installing various types of commercial carpet and vinyl. Be accustomed to working with commercial-grade materials, demonstrating a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Duties

• Install commercial-grade carpet tile or pattern-match carpet
• Install commercial-grade sheet vinyl (heat weld or cold weld seam), LVP, VCT, or LVT
• Install vinyl cove base or self-coving sheet vinyl
• Manual material handling - lift and carry 50 lbs frequently
• Prepare surfaces for installation by removing old flooring, repairing subfloors, and ensuring proper leveling.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and installation requirements.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the installation process.
• Perform installation and trimming of transitions between different types of flooring.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the installation process.
• Wear PPE at all times - safety glasses, work gloves, knee pads, solid-sole work boots, helmet, and protective clothing - hi-vis, long-sleeved shirt, and jeans.

Requirements

• Commercial Flooring Apprentice 1 - 4 years of experience
• Commercial Flooring Installer 5 - 12 years of experience
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in flooring installation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Complete or possess an OSHA 10 or 30 Construction Card
• Complete or possess a First-Aid/CPR Certification
• Must consent to and pass a background check.
