EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:

Keeps team well informedof property promotions and events. Develops highly skilled, successful employees, sets realistic andmeasurable service standards and holds employees accountable for meetingthem. Clearly communicates and enforcescompany expectations including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures,department goals and business strategy. Addresses employee performance issues, coaches for improvement andprovides ongoing feedback. Uses EOS datato improve the workplace, listens and responds to employees, recognizes andrewards individual and team performance. Consistently follows company policies, procedures and industry regulations,maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records, completes performancereviews timely.
Submits input from coworkers anddepartment users on labor saving, safety and dollar savings innovations. Assists in development of employee appraisalsand identification of training and upward mobility candidates. Responsible forthe maintenance and mechanical integrity of the facility during a shift or inthe absence of the Manager of Facilities. Responsible for the supervision of all trade personnel on shift. Interfaces with all department managersduring shift, maintaining optimum level of service to external/internalcustomers. Conducts daily tours offacility to identify, correct and follow-up on all deficiencies. Responsible for assigned projects and timelycompletion. Assists in budget planningand the setting of policies and procedures of engineering and maintenance. Oversees implementation of all servicecontracts pertaining to engineering and maintenance. Maintains daily shift log indicating, but notlimited to, employee incidents, irregularities that may arise, i.e., mechanicalshutdowns, emergencies and alarms. Assists in operation of the fire command station when necessary. Assigns to subordinates on shift andcompletes regular check lists. Assistsin the supervision of EVS employees when necessary.
Serves as a dynamic and energetic leader,while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and opencommunication. Establishes self ashighly credible leader with highest levels of integrity, and always acts in thebest interests of the property and the company. Acts as a role model and coach while developing employees using aconsistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations.Ensures that team members clearly understand and are held accountable for theirperformance expectations. Provides appropriate recognition and rewards toindividuals and groups when consistent superior performance is attained. Works as a change agent and challenges thedepartmental processes to improve and streamline department operations, throughthe continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes andprogram effectiveness and value. Demonstrates excellent facilitator skills in resolving conflicts betweendifferent points of view. Demonstratesleadership skills in determining a vision, aligns and inspires the team toachieve the vision. Partners andCoordinates with other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction andefficient operations in a safe, friendly, comfortable environment, bywell-trained, motivated employees. Embraces, role models and implements all elements of our customerservice program including FOCUS skills, Spotlight on Success and Buzz Sessions,and tier prioritized service. Recommendsand implements change to improve overall employee and guest satisfaction. Establishes and endorses the businessobjectives, ethics and values of Harrah's Entertainment Inc. in accordance withthe Code of Commitment. Abides by allPennsylvania Gaming Control Board Regulations and PA Harness Racing CommissionRegs.

Qualifications:Requirements:
Minimum high school graduate. Working knowledge of overall building operations relating toengineering/maintenance and EVS. Familiarityin all facets of construction. Must havegood working knowledge of more than one technical field. Minimum one year experience as a supervisor. Journeyman or equivalent in at least onetrade for a minimum of five years. Knowledge of Mechanical/Building systems in facility. Proficient computer skills. Drivers license, (driving record required,)required. Drug screening required.
Is able to workin smoke filled environment, and is able to sit and stand for prolonged periodsof time.
Must be able to obtain andmaintain the appropriate license through the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
