- Perform structural analysis (static or response spectra) for seismic and other load combinations according to plant criteria.
- Design equipment and piping supports, building structural frames, and foundations.
- Conduct piping or pipe support analysis per ASME Section III or B31.1 design standards.
- Develop lifting assembly, rigging, or crane designs.
- Apply AISC steel and ACI concrete design codes in structural designs.
- Perform component stress analysis using GTSTRUDL or ANSYS.
- Review and evaluate plant impacts and existing structures.
- Develop retrofit type designs for existing structures.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from a US-accredited college.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience, ideally 5+ years, in design and analysis for Nuclear Power Plants, Industrial Facilities, or relevant project types within Steel and/or Concrete.
- Proficiency in static structural analyses, structural dynamics, AISC, ACI classes, and seismic analysis.
- Experience with design codes - AISC, ACI, ASCE.
- Proficiency in MathCAD is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for report writing, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Experience and knowledge working with steel (ideal) and concrete (secondary).
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
