NOW HIRING: MACHINE OPERATORS**
**Location: Cedar Rapids**
**Pay: $18-24/hr depending on experience!**
**Job Description**
This position includes the operation of various equipment such as laser, EML, Vikings, Timesaver, punch press, shear, forklift, and other machines in the turret area. Responsibilities also include setting up tooling for operators and moving material.
**Responsibilities**
+ Adjust production equipment/machinery setup
+ Clean equipment or machinery
+ Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications
+ Measure, weigh, or count products or materials
+ Monitor production machinery/equipment operation to detect problems
+ Operate metal or plastic fabricating equipment/machinery
+ Read blueprints and technical drawings
+ Read work orders, instructions, or formulas
+ Set up computer numerical control machines and production equipment
+ Understand machine setup instructions
+ Use computers to input, access, or retrieve data
+ Use hand or power tools
+ Use precision measuring tools or equipment
+ Use Statistical Process Control Data to determine when to make machine adjustments
+ Measure and examine extruded products to locate defects and check for conformance to specifications; adjust controls as necessary
+ Start machines and set controls to regulate vacuum, air pressure, sizing rings, and temperature, and to synchronize speed of extrusion
+ Replace worn dies when products vary from specifications
+ Reel extruded products into rolls of specified lengths and weights
+ Troubleshoot, maintain, and make minor repairs to equipment
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in operating shear, press brake, punch press, and other metal fabrication equipment
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
+ Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and equipment
+ Basic computer skills
+ 6+ months of machine operator experience
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Basic reading and writing skills
+ Experience in manufacturing and production environments
+ Familiarity with CNC lathe operation
+ Ability to use hand tools effectively
+ Experience in the Aerospace industry is a plus
