Junior Civil Engineer ( Hybrid )

ASAP Installations LLC started in 2005 as a sheet pile installation company based on patented technology and equipment developed in Europe. Seventeen years later, ASAP Group is today an all-round foundation company located in Miramar, Orlando, and Belle Glade, Florida.

ASAP Installations, LLC is looking for a Junior Civil Engineer who will report to Engineering and the Estimating Manager.

Job Overview:

The Jr. Civil Engineer position performs all engineering and estimating duties required during the bid process and pre-construction stage. It is responsible for evaluating projects from an engineering and cost perspective utilizing the available construction and engineering industry standards. This position supports the Business Development Department in the pursuit of new projects and the Operations Department in the transition from the pre-construction phase to the actual building of the projects.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Request and organize bid documents
• Review projects and perform takeoffs
• Review and submit RFI's in a timely manner
• Estimating
• Request and evaluate material and equipment quotes
• Evaluate and qualify subcontractor’s quotes
• Lead the discussion of projects in bid review meetings
• Assist in the Estimating/Operation transfers
• Assist in the development of preliminary plans
• Assist in the development of preliminary designs
• Update bid & outstanding lists
• Assist in the bid & outstanding meetings
• Search for upcoming projects
• Prepare and submit proposals
• Interaction with clients prior to and after bid submittal
• Pre-bid meetings and site visits
• Assist in the development of submittal packages for operations & engineering

Qualifications:

• Education level: Bachelor of Engineering as a minimum, preferably in Civil Engineering
• Experience: 0-2 years
• Specific skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD
• US citizen or permanent resident status required
