Role Description
Get Flooring is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager / Head of Production to join our team in the Greater Chicago Area. This is a full-time hybrid role, (remote office work, periodically check in on construction sites when needed), offering flexibility! The Construction Project Manager / Head of Production, will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing daily operations across three key departments: Estimation, Budgeting & Procurement, and Installations. This leader will be responsible for ensuring seamless coordination between teams, improving operational efficiencies, and delivering top-quality service to our clients. This role will be a part of the leadership team and play a pivotal role in company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of production, including project estimation, budgeting, procurement of materials, and installation execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Develop and implement strategic processes that enhance workflow efficiency, minimize errors, and improve service quality.
Lead and mentor department managers and teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Optimize procurement and inventory management to maintain cost-effectiveness while ensuring timely material availability.
Monitor project performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, risks, and inefficiencies.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, and finance, to align production strategies with company goals.
Utilize data-driven insights and KPIs to measure performance, drive decision-making, and enhance the overall client experience.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to optimize supply chain and installation quality.
Spearhead process improvements and innovation to support company growth and scalability.
Qualifications
8-10 years of experience in construction project management.
Experience in the Flooring Industry is preferred.
Proven ability to manage multiple departments and drive operational excellence.
Strong background in estimations, budgeting, procurement, and installation management.
Experience with project management tools, scheduling software, and cost control systems.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
Must be able to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via digital platforms.
Must be able to lift and carry office supplies, files, or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.
