Fabricator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabricating and fitting, with experience in reading blueprints and job orders. This role involves preparing materials and parts for assembly, creating cut lists, and assisting with layout and setup. While welding experience is a plus, it is not required for this position. Responsibilities Review job orders and Bill of Materials (BOM) to gather necessary parts and materials. Interpret drawings and blueprints to create cut lists. Determine the dimensions and specifications for cuts and materials. Layout material holes for punching or drilling and prepare parts for assembly. Tack up weldments and assist with the setup of welds. Collaborate with other workers to complete tasks efficiently. Essential Skills Fabricating and fitting experience Ability to read and interpret blueprints and BOMs Experience in a job shop environment Proficiency with hard steel, aluminum, and stainless steel Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with press brake, shearing, and punch press operations Skills in using grind wheel and saw operations Experience with hand rail and round pipe fitting Certifications, apprenticeship, or relevant education are a plus Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a job shop manufacturing environment with approximately 15 employees on the first shift. The facility experiences temperature variations with hot summers and cold winters. Safety gear such as safety glasses, hard hats, and steel-toe shoes are required. Employees can wear jeans and appropriate t-shirts. Standard hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with some Saturdays required depending on work orders. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
