JOB ROLE:

As a Carpentry Team Leader, you play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects. Your responsibilities include coordinating with the Operations Manager, overseeing job sites, and performing a variety of hands-on tasks. You will be part of project planning and coordination and will work with the Operations Manager to determine required materials, supplies, and vendors. You will assist in developing and following the project schedule to ensure timely completion.

As a Carpentry Team Leader, your leadership, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple aspects of a project are essential to our team's success.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead residential remodeling projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

  • Work with the Operations Manager to determine required materials, supplies, and vendors.

  • Assist in developing and following the project schedule to ensure timely completion.

Technical & Hands-On Responsibilities

  • Ability to read and interpret designer plans and specifications.

  • Execute skilled carpentry work, including framing, drywall, cabinetry, and finish work.

  • Manage customer requests, including overseeing and resolving inquiries related to Change Orders, and work with the Operations Manager on processing and finalizing.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide guidance and assistance to less experienced team members, helping them understand complex assignments and improve their skills.

  • Ensure effective communication and coordination among team members

Technology & Communication

  • Comfortable with technology, including the use of Apple iPhone, Google Suite, and CRM Programs (Jobber).

  • Understand and follow the proper order of operations when working with multiple trades.

  • Communicate & coordinate with other trades to prevent conflicts and ensure a smooth workflow.

Safety & Site Security

  • Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and standards, minimizing risks associated with carpentry and worksite safety.

  • Job sites must be properly secured and cleaned before leaving for the day.

  • Ensure all tools and equipment are powered down at the end of each workday.

  • Take proactive measures to protect customers' personal property, including dust control, floor protection, and safeguarding fragile items.

Professionalism & Punctuality

  • Punctuality is essential – Leaders are expected to set the standard by being the first to arrive and the last to leave.

  • Your presence at the start and end of the workday ensures that the team stays on schedule and that the job site is properly managed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 5-10 years full time experience in construction field, remodeling, renovations

Authorized to work in the US

Clean criminal record, background check, and willingness to comply with random drug screenings

  • Valid driver's license and insured/reliable vehicle

  • Good physical condition and endurance, with the ability to handle physically demanding tasks
