We are seeking an Operations Manager with a strong focus on student services, overseeing accounts receivable, transportation, school logistics, event management, and food services. As a key member of the school operations team, the Operations Manager will work closely with the Head of Operations to develop and maintain efficient systems that support the daily functioning of the school. Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of School and Head of Operations in the day-to-day operations of the school facility and infrastructure
- Assist the Head of Operations in the management of school vendors and contractors
- Participate in the planning, execution, and policy setting of transportation, including bus routes and arrival and dismissal procedures
- Serve as the main point of contact for accounts receivable and accounts payable questions and issues. Liaison between parents and our school systems processing center.
- Manage day-to-day activities related to lunch service.
- Support the school in ensuring that the school adheres to all relevant regulations and compliance with city and state regulations
- Support all school event services and auxiliary functions as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to address operational concerns and provide necessary support
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of similar work-related experience, with experience in an educational environment being preferred.
- Experience within education or a true passion for working within PK-12 education
- Must be able to attend meetings and events outside of regular school hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with families, students, and staff.
- Demonstrable understanding of operational planning and customer service standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to establish and manage multiple priorities, creatively problem-solve, and work under pressure
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds occasionally, such as supplies, equipment, or furniture.
- Frequent walking throughout the school campus, including hallways, classrooms, and facilities, to inspect operations and ensure a safe and efficient environment.
- Outdoor supervision and inspections requiring exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, particularly during school events, campus monitoring, or facility walkthroughs.
General information:
- Reports directly to the Head of Operations
- The full-time equivalent salary range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000. This position is regular, 12 months, full-time, and exempt. Employees in exempt positions are expected to work as many hours as their responsibilities require, which includes evenings and weekends
