Fire Alarm Technician

Kinetix Fire & Life Safety Experts was founded in 1993 and we provide fire protection system services to the government, military, commercial, higher education, and large campus type facilities. Our mission is to provide quality customer service by focusing on a personalized approach for the fire & life safety needs of our customers facility. We are looking for a Fire Alarm Technician / Installer to join our experienced team in the New Cumberland, PA area.

Job Responsibilities

As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for service, testing, and Installation of fire alarm systems and devices.

Additional responsibilities of the Fire Alarm Technician include:

Install and basic programming of fire alarm systems and devices

Performing detailed inspections of fire alarm systems

Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems

Troubleshoot and repair alarm system malfunctions

Maintain accurate records of service calls and completed work

Customer service, coordination, and communication

Technical fire protection system project and administrative support

Ability to work independently or supervise others as required

Solid troubleshooting skills

Job Requirements

To qualify for the Fire Alarm Technician position, you must have a minimum of 5 years experience working with fire alarm systems. An active NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems or ITM of Fire Alarm systems is desired.

Additional requirements of the Fire Alarm Technician Position include:

Proficiency with computer skills, MS Excel, Email

Strong customer service skills and communications

Familiarity with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and local codes

Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders

Clean driving record and background
