Material Handler
Job Description
We are seeking a Material Handler who will accurately provide inventory information for company-controlled material stock. You will monitor, organize, and maintain inventory of company products at multiple branch locations while working alongside a diverse group of people.
Responsibilities
Operate sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and side-loader forklifts.
Conduct inventory control and cycle counting duties.
Enter data for inventory into a computer.
Record data manually using a clipboard.
Load and unload metal materials (raw materials) both manually and with a forklift.
Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill.
Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements.
Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material.
Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements.
Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags.
Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket.
Identify material shortages and issues, and communicate to appropriate staff.
Perform verification of scrap.
Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
Assist the quality assurance team in activities related to credits.
Perform equipment preventative maintenance and cleanup.
Essential Skills
Ability and experience operating a sit-down forklift.
Strong attendance and work history with regards to tenure.
Proficiency in inventory control.
Basic computer skills for data entry.
Work Environment
You will work in a large raw material supplier facility where materials are stored, cut, and shipped to customers. The facility is fast-paced, with over 60 employees on the floor. The work schedule includes Monday to Thursday from 4 am to 2:30 pm. The main building is located at Northeast Suite #102 Auburn, WA, and the Titanium Building is at 5002 D. St. Northwest Suite #104 Auburn, WA. Shifts are 1st Shift: 4 am - 12:30 pm Mon-Fri, and 3rd Shift: 4 am-2:30 pm Fri-Mon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.20 - $20.20/hr.
