Crew Leader - Public Works

The Town of Arlington is currently seeking a highly motivated professional for a full-time position in our Public Works department.

This position is responsible for training, directing, and performing unskilled and skilled work related to installation, maintenance, and repair of roads, sidewalks, drainage systems (ditches, pipes, inlets).

An afterhours on-call rotation is required.

Applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED & (10) ten years’ experience in all phases of street and drainage system operations, including (5) five years as a Heavy Equipment Operator and two years as Asphalt Raker; (2) two years performing heavy manual work in a construction, industrial, or municipal setting.

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job may be considered.

Must possess a valid driver’s license in the State of Tennessee, pass a background check, driver’s license check and physical exam, including a drug screen. Will work in a non-smoking environment.
