January 2019 Construction Industry Report [INFOGRAPHIC]

The number of construction jobs added to iHireConstruction nearly doubled from 94,342 in December to 167,377 in January. Electricians continue to be in high demand with just over 20,000 jobs added to start the new year, but roofers took over the top spot on our list of popular titles with 22,808 new jobs added in January. In addition to posting more opportunities, employers in the construction industry appear to be hiring faster as well. The average job ad age declined from 33 days in December to 25 days in January.

When it comes to construction job seekers, many of the key metrics remain unchanged. The titles with the most registered candidates on iHireConstruction continue to be project managers/construction managers, foremen/supervisors, welders/fabricators, electricians, and carpenters and laborers continue to top our list of new users.
