Megen Construction Company, Inc. is currently seeking a Construction Project Manager. You will be key member of our team and you will manage projects from the Pre-Construction phase through the Closeout and Warranty Period.
Job Duties, Roles, and Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring timely and on-budget completion.
- In conjunction with the preconstruction and accounting departments, initiate cost control accounting and reporting procedures.
- Ensure Megen’s Safety Program is established and carried out.
- Monitor and implement project controls and documentation (daily, weekly, and monthly reports, RFIs, field work orders, meeting minutes, and correspondence).
- Work with preconstruction to establish the scope of work for the bid packages and establish the GMP.
- Responsible for creating and updating the overall project schedule, milestones and look-ahead schedules.
- Review and verify financial aspects of job cost including change orders, applications for payment, contractor and supplier payments, equipment rentals, back charges, etc.
- Review and distribute all bulletins, ASIs, FWD’s, etc. for scope compliance in relation to cost, time, sub-mark-up etc., prior to preparation of change orders.
- Monitor and control daily construction activity on the jobsite and inform Senior Project Manager of any potential issues and updates.
- Review and approve all Trade Partner and supplier invoices, ensuring invoices are accurate and reflect actual progress on the project.
- Produce monthly pay applications for submission to client, including assembling all backup documentation.
- Prepare for run all job-related meetings (weekly coordination meetings, OACM, etc.)
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the Senior Project Manager or Director
- Conduct the Trade Partner buyout process, with overisght by Senior Management.
- Ensure the review, expedite, and monitoring of shop drawings, contract documents, submittals, RFI’s, change orders, and material procurement logs through Procore.
- Utilize Procore tools for cost management and financial reporting.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum years 5 construction experience, commercial construction and field experience preferred; design build experience preferred
- Four-year degree in construction management or engineering degree preferred
- General knowledge of all construction trades and scopes.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in Procore, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS SharePoint, MS Outlook and Adobe/ Bluebeam
- Excellent Communication Skills and attention to detail
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness and ability to address difficult and challenging situations. Proven track record of successfully dealing with Trade Partners, Suppliers, Cleints, Design Teams, Government Agencies, etc.
